Although it’s spoken much more openly now, there’s still a huge stigma around mental health and anxiety despite the fact that 1 in 4 people struggle with anxiety. Anxiety in particular can creep up on you completely unexpectedly.
Anxiety symptoms can include racing thoughts, uncontrollable over-thinking, feelings of dread, panic, feeling irritable, changes in appetite, and issues with sleep. I’m sure many of you have experienced one if not more of these symptoms.
How reflexology can help
Reflexology is a type of treatment that can help relieve anxiety by stimulating pressure points in the hands and feet. But a reflexology session is not just about spending an hour attending to the nerve endings in your feet. When the blood flow is stimulated through pressure on these areas, the body releases endorphins that help manage both psychological and physical symptoms of anxiety. Simply put, it's a holistic therapy that leaves you feeling good and healed in more ways than one.
